Every extra address is another string a correspondent must check, another certificate to maintain, another chance for an old page to drift out of date and quietly contradict a current one. Consolidating on a single domain is the publishing equivalent of keeping one set of books. Whatever the group has said, it said here, and whatever is not here, the group has not said.
There is a security point folded into this, and in finance it is not a small one. Firms that transact in money are routinely imitated by lookalike domains: a plural where the real name is singular, a hyphen inserted, one letter swapped. The defence is boring and effective.
